What is THCa?
THCa, or tetrahydrocannabinolic acid, is one of the major cannabinoids found in the cannabis, or hemp, plant. THCa is unlike other cannabinoids in that it doesn’t produce a psychotropic effect when ingested, but rather when heated through a process called decarboxylation. Decarboxylation, or “decarbing” for short, converts some of the available THCa to Delta 9 THC which produces the traditional “high” associated with marijuana. Delta 9 interacts with the CB1 and CB2 receptors of the endocannabinoid system similarly to other cannabinoids like Delta 8 THC, Delta 10 THC, Delta 6a10a THC, and HHC, to produce an uplifting, euphoric effect with increased focus and energy. Delta 9 THC is also known for its anxiolytic (anti-anxiety), antiemetic (anti-nausea), analgesic (pain relieving), orexigenic (appetite stimulant) and neuroprotective properties.

Deathstar is good. It was very dry. It has minimal terps they arent strong and are gone after the 1st puff like most thca flower. You might notice a trendy smell to this bud – it directly reminds me of THC-P 90%+, commonly found in vape pens (such as lotus). When I first smelled it, I had this reminder of a bad dry-vape I got from some store-bought stuff (not from Cannabuddy; their stuff is stellar). Even though it reminded me of that THC-P 90%+ stuff, since I ordered 7g I figured I should at least try it. The taste I didn’t like was there, but it did not make me sick or anything. The bad experience usually comes from the random hemp/can shops that carry brands like Exhale, etc. If you haven’t had this kind of experience, I suggest smoking this bud before using a lotus vape pen as you will have a better baseline experience for this type of taste. You will encounter it again if this is your first time.
